Bedrooms

This is a two bedroomed property. There is one double bedroom in the villino, which is air conditioned. It has a king size bed, wardrobes and two chests of drawers. The trullo is used as a twin bedroom with a wardrobe with shelves for storage, there are lots of interesting features in this large bedroom that consists of all three trulli cones. The sofa bed in the living room provides sleeping accommodation for a further two guests.

Bathrooms

The two bathrooms are newly built and each has a large walk in shower, large washbasin, bidet, and toilet. One of the bathrooms is an en suite to the bedroom in the villino. The second bathroom is accessed externally and has an automatic washing machine for guests to use.

Living Room

The living room is in the villino, it is air conditioned. It has double doors that open out onto the veranda. It has a double sofa bed, easy chairs, side tables, a TV, DVD player, an MP3 docking station and a portable CD player, books and board games. A marble step leads down to the kitchen.

Kitchen

Newly fitted and well equipped kitchen. It has a fridge/freezer, gas cooker, a large “George Forman grill”, kettle, toaster, hand blender, juicer, adequate glasses, pots and pans and a bar corner in case you fancy a cocktail! There is also a table for dining and the courtyard is accessed through French doors. There is a cool box to take to the beach.

Cleaning & Linen

Towels and linen are provided and the property is cleaned once per week as standard.

Outside

The property has a large courtyard area and ample parking for at least half a dozen cars up the long drive way. It has 8500 square meters of olive grove which is lovely to wander through.  The garden has fruit trees including fig, cherry, walnut and lemon. Guests are welcome to sample the fruit in season. There is a gazebo for shade for outside dining with a table that seats six, and a table is available with shade provided by an ancient olive tree. Outside lights to the front and side of the property, making it ideal for late evening dining, turn them off for star gazing which is a must. In the store room there are beach chairs and sun beds – which are portable for you to take to the beach and a barbeque. There are also two mountain bikes for guests to use.

Distances

Brindisi airport is approximately a 35 minute drive, whilst Bari airport is slightly further at approx 80 – 90 minutes drive. Visit Ryanair and British Airways websites to see just how cheap flights are to both Brindisi and Bari.

The trullo is located in San Vito Dei Normanni in a quiet tranquil country lane. It is close to the lovely small town of San Michele Salentino with restaurants, takeaway pizza shops and supermarkets. Approx 15kms to the “Citta Bianca”, Ostuni, or a wonderful drive through the Itria Valley takes you to the trulli town of Alberobello  passing the 18th Century town of Martina Franca and Locorotondo, a  beautiful town famous for its white wine. Castellana Grotte caves can be easily reached. Further south the wine regions of Manduria and Salice Salentino beckon. Slightly further south do try to visit the beautiful city of Lecce, referred to as the 'Florence of the South'. The house is situated between the Adriatic Coast (approx 25 minutes) and the Ionian Coast (approx an hour), which leaves you spoiled for choice for fantastic beaches.
