Set in its own grounds of over 6000sqm within a quiet tranquil country lane, this beautifully restored trullo is an ideal base from which to visit all the local attractions and fantastic beaches Puglia has to offer. The trullo is approached via a driveway and accommodation comprises of a lounge area with double sofa, adjoining traditional `muratura` corner kitchen, alcove bedroom and bathroom. To the front of the trullo is a good sized patio area with outside pizza oven.
| Bedrooms | The bedroom has a lovely exposed natural stone ceiling, double glazed traditional style wooden window to the front with internal shutters and roll-down mosquito net, providing an outlook over the garden, a wicker chest of drawers and a double hanging rail. |
| Bathrooms | With a suite comprising of a shower cubicle, porcelain wash basin sat on a marble plinth, wc and bidet. Natural stone vaulted ceiling and a double glazed traditional style wooden window to the rear with internal shutters and roll-down mosquito net. |

| Distances | The trullo is located in the Valle d'Itria in a quiet tranquil country lane between the graceful 18th Century town of Martina Franca (10km) known for its strong white wine and Baroque and Rococo buildings, and the old Messapian town of Ceglie Messapica (5km). Within a 30 minute drive you will also find Alberobello, most beautiful and famous of the 'Trulli Town', now a national monument; Locorotondo, a strikingly beautiful town famous for its white wine; Ostuni, known as the 'Citta Bianca' (white town) which overlooks the olive tree covered plain down to the coast. It is also well worth the 45 minute drive to Castellana Grotte caves, possibly the most exciting series of caverns in the whole of Italy. Slightly further afield but equally worth a visit is the town of Lecce, referred to as the 'Florence of the South', plus Castel del Monte, and Matera with its 'sassi', ancient cave dwellings. |
| Local Information | This part of Puglia is home of the "trulli", houses built of stone with conical roofs which are unique to this area. Their origins still remain a mystery. The unspoilt Pugliese landscape is largely made up of vineyards, olive groves, fruit orchards and small meticulously planted farms which together with the neat stone trulli and low stone walls all combine to create the atmosphere of a storybook. |
| Leisure Facilities | The trullo is situated centrally between the Adriatic Coast and the Ionian Coast and both can be reached within approximately 30km, giving easy access to reputedly some of the best beaches in Italy |

Booking notes
A deposit of 30% of the total holiday cost is payable upon confirmation of reservation, the remaining 70% to be paid at least 8 weeks prior to holiday commencement. If booking is made 8 weeks or less from holiday date the full holiday cost is payable immediately. Payment to be made in sterling to our UK bank account.
